Hong Kong: A Place for You
Kai Tak Fantasy
Is Hong Kong just about buildings and traffic? Not at all! And the Federation will prove it by putting young people's creative and imaginative powers to the test through a video contest called A Place for You. Organised by M21 with EKEO* for the Kai Tak Fantasy (KTF) project, participants will show case Hong Kong's natural beauty and wonderful waterfront promenades, piers and sheltered harbour planned for the area near the old Kai Tak Airport.

The aim is to encourage ideas to support KTF as an attraction for locals and visitors. With three divisions, one open to all and two reserved for students, winning videos of up to two minutes will be selected by well known local film directors, Adam Wong and Heiward Mak, with winner walking away with prizes up to HK$100,000.

To encourage entries, two free workshops were held on 5 and 12 July at the EKEO Exhibition Hall where Ms Mak provided expert hints on how to maximize video production. This was a marvellous chance to get professional advice from one of Hong Kong's most promising young film directors and screenwriter for Love in a Puff.

Deadline for contest entries: 8 September. Go to http://kaitakfantasy.m21.hk/en/intro.php or call CK Chow, tel 3979 0040 for more details.
