The Last Crayon :
a movie about children from M21
Five young primary school students are faced with a challenge, which calls on their ingenuity and creativity to overcome. How do they manage this? This award winning children's film, The Last Crayon, will tell you the story.

The movie, a 2015 IndieFest Film Award Winner is directed by Jeremy Yung Wai-mi and Henry Poon. It is M21's second film and follows the youngsters through their adventure, which sees them learning how to negotiate life's biggest hurdles: good, prejudice, dreams and hope.

The ultimate message of The Last Crayon is love and the strong bond that is formed between parents and children, as well as between the children themselves. This positive message is one that the Federation adheres too as well: that even "small things need to be done with love".

Come and be touched. Come and watch The Last Crayon at MCL Cinemas on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from the 21st November to 8th December.

Who is Willing to Take up Positions in Public Affairs? third report from Youth I.D.E.A.S. and Federation Youth Research Centre
A survey, initiated by the Youth I.D.E.A.S think tank, found that nearly 65% of 520 young people aged 18-34 agreed with the notion that one's sense of responsibility to the society could be enhanced by taking up positions to serve the community. 28% said that they were willing to do so. Yet, more than 60% respectively did not think that they could make a change to the society, or that they trusted the Government. Face-to-face interviews with 20 young people were also conducted to explore the problems hindering young people from serving the community through this kind of participation. The survey was conducted from July to August through a territory-wide random sampling telephone poll.
