Youth Crime Prevention Centre launches Project Radar with Beat Drugs Fund
HKFYG's Youth Crime Prevention Centre has just launched Project Radar with funding from the Beat Drugs Fund. This counselling and treatment programme, designed for hidden young drug abusers and former youth drug offenders, is operating territory-wide. Training for teachers, parents and community partners helps them to identify problems and communicate better with youth involved in drug-related crime.

Federation OBOR Backpackers Scheme: Second Season open now for enrolment
Targeting 18-35 year olds, this scheme invites youngsters with independent travel plans in 'Belt and Road' countries to apply for sponsored overseas trips in groups of 2-6. Regions include mainland China, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Eastern and Central Europe and sponsorship ranges from HK$2,000 to $6,000 according to duration of journey and country to be visited.

Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau fund cross-border study tour for talented finance students
Post-secondary students are joining this government-funded mainland study tour for which HKFYG is a supporting organization. The programme includes visits to government agencies, financial regulators and exchanges in Hong Kong and Shanghai with attachments of four or more weeks at financial institutions in Shanghai as well as exchange activities with students in Shanghai plus student exchange.

DragoNation Forum: From Passion to Action - Entrepreneurship with Mission
Each year, the Dragon Foundation's alumni association organizes a forum. With sponsorship from CLP and venue support from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the 2016 DragoNation Forum on 28 May was supported by 36 organizations.
The Dragon Foundation, with a Secretariat provided by HKFYG, builds networks between young Chinese leaders.

Youth views on Legco: new report from HKFYG Youth I.D.E.A.S. think tank
18-34 year-olds have reservations about Hong Kong's Legislative Council (Legco) and indicate that greater efforts could strengthen its connection with the public. Almost 60% of the 539 who responded to this randomized phone survey said they had no trust in Legco. Another 66% thought the HKSAR Government was also untrustworthy. Worse still, close to a third said that there was a lack of rational debate in these forums. Some 28% agreed that it represented diverse opinions.
